"The Gaube Couloir is a fascinating and provocative chimney of snow and ice, open in the north face of the Vignemale, dizzying and 600 meters high" described Henri Brulle. He was the first man to have climbed this gigantic fault located on the north face of the Vignemale massif. Reserved for experienced mountaineers, this spectacular ascent ends with an ice waterfall.
Located at an altitude of 1,450 meters, a few kilometers from the Peyragudes resort, the “Sherpa” Nordic base offers sled baptisms and initiations to sled driving . Let yourself be guided by the Musher and enjoy the thrills from the basket pulled by 10 to 12 huskies, or take the reins of 4 huskies to become a “ coureur des bois ” in your turn, for a snowy ride.
