TEMPLE DU SALIN Historic Monument in Toulouse

 To find it, all you have to do is go to the square of the same name, Place Salin. Located in the Carmes district, the Temple du Salin is housed in the former royal treasury, built in the 13th century. From the 15th century onwards, it welcomed kings when they visited Toulouse, before becoming state property during the French Revolution. It was then taken over by the Sisters of Charity of Notre-Dame until 1904, when their congregation was dispersed by the State. The Protestant temple was built in the 20th century, preserving the medieval elements and vestiges of the original construction. Today, it features a neo-Gothic style, with stained glass and rempage windows. It is open for worship on Sunday mornings only.
