Also known as the Hôtel de Malte, it is located on rue Dalbade in Toulouse's historic center. From the early 12th to the late 18th century, it was the headquarters of the Knights of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem. Built between 1668 and 1680, the Hôtel Saint-Jean comprises a vast cloister, a church, a college, a library, a tower and living quarters for the knights, and even stables. Magnificent in its preserved identity, it is a fine example of Renaissance and Baroque architecture.
