The thermal baths and seaside villages that are built around them are not only there for the beauty of the landscapes! The waters have therapeutic properties and virtues, which arise (if you will allow me the expression!) from the minerals that compose them. Thus, immersion in thermal water from a seaside resort constitutes an act of health and well-being for the body and mind. In certain conditions, we also speak of "thermal treatment", which can be reimbursed by social security, if the patient's health problems can improve through contact with the waters and the surrounding climatic conditions. The air of the mid-mountains surrounding the thermal baths of the Pyrenees is very good for health : oxygen becomes scarce and to rebalance the body, our body produces more red blood cells. For children, the elderly and for everyone in general, the mountains are an immunity booster, without any risk!

In Ariège, the thermal baths are located near or in the towns of:

• Aulus-les-Bains ;
• Ussat-les-Bains;
• Ax-les-Thermes.

These places offer you different options, for a medical treatment stay (on prescription from your GP), for a few hours of relaxation with services such as massage, jet, special baths and others... Or simply for a recreational moment with friends, with children.

Choose your spa treatment or your aquatic leisure center

Choose your spa based on the condition you are suffering from. Be aware, however, that all waters have holistic properties. They also provide holistic treatment, although they are more suitable for certain illnesses or disorders. You can also go to a spa if you are not suffering, simply for the pleasure of relaxing in a beautiful environment.
