MUSEE GEORGES LABIT Museums in Toulouse

This museum, one of the oldest museums of Asian art in France, is an invitation to travel. Start by exploring the magnificent garden, with its mix of Asian and Mediterranean species, including azaleas, bamboos, tree ferns and palms. The rest of the tour takes you to the heart of a Moorish villa, to discover some incredible objects brought back from George Labit's travels. Owned by the city of Toulouse since 1912, the latter completes the collections with works of art from Egyptian and Oriental antiquity, including a real mummy and Japanese prints. For more information, workshops are organized all year round for adults and children wishing to discover modeling, Japanese cooking, origami or calligraphy.
