The most populous municipality in Ariège, Pamiers is located about sixty kilometers from Toulouse and about twenty kilometers from Foix.

Pamiers has an interesting civil and religious architectural heritage (17th-18th century). You cannot miss the Saint-Antonin cathedral and its impressive Toulouse-style red brick bell tower. We will not forget to mention the Notre-Dame-du-Camp church and its carillons, the Cordeliers Tower and its octagonal bell tower as well as the Tower of the Hôtel de la Monnaie, a former watchtower of a workshop 15th century currency.
