- Gateway to the land of hills, located in the heart of Pyrenean Piedmont, Tournay, a 14th century bastide built by King Philippe le Bel, who wanted a fortified town near the Château de Mauvezin, has retained all its architectural attractions, with its rectangular square and its main streets. The Saint-Etienne church burned down in the 16th century by the Protestants was rebuilt. Place d'Astarac is home to the house of Francis Jammes (1868-1938), poet, novelist and playwright. Blessing monks settled in 1952 in the Abbey of Notre-Dame de Tournay. Trails, ridge paths, are the domain of hikers and mountain bikers.
