    • Le Clos Cathala, luxurious guest rooms where you can escape to Ariège

Forget everyday life for a stay in the heart of nature in Saint-Paul-de-Jarrat, in a magnificent green estate planted with lime trees, plane trees, cedars and oaks, most of which are several hundred years old. Nestled in this haven of peace, a carefully renovated 17th century building opens its doors to you all year round and invites you to the top of the spiral staircases to enjoy 5 elegant guest rooms, which transport you to the period of the " Belle Epoque ".

Ironwork, parquet or furniture, the materials are noble and the equipment high-end to offer a timeless escape. Let yourself be carried away by the tranquility of the place and enjoy a large common room equipped with a billiards table and a library to relax by the fireplace. You can also book an external service such as a wellness massage or special sound, provided by qualified professionals.

When you wake up, a delicious breakfast will delight your taste buds, as will the menus served at Table Saint Paul, the gourmet restaurant at Clos Cathala. Ideal for romantic stays as a couple, the estate is also perfect for organizing private events with several rooms available and all the comforts to welcome your guests.

We had the tasting menu. Fine result, successful food and wine pairing Thanks to Corentin the waiter, for his interpersonal skills and know-how. An experience to highly recommend

We spent one night in this place. The place is quiet, peaceful and very delicately decorated in the style of the house (it dates from 1700). The breakfast was DELICIOUS. Local, plentiful and with a breathtaking view. Why do I still give it a 3? When we arrived in the room, we were not warned that the toilet was leaking water. Several times we had the unpleasant surprise of having wet feet. Since we had not been warned, we thought that they were not aware but to my great surprise when we left we were simply told: “ah yes the plumber is coming tomorrow, it is planned”. For a room at €200 per night it’s pretty average. We neither had a, “sorry for the inconvenience” nor had a commercial gesture… too bad!
