The Saint-Étienne Cathedral of Toulouse is an emblematic religious building of the pink city, bearing witness to several centuries of history and different architectural styles.

His story

The cathedral's origins are uncertain, but its construction spanned several centuries, from the 13th to the 17th century. This long construction period explains the mix of architectural styles that can be observed: Romanesque, Gothic (especially Southern Gothic), and Baroque.

It is actually made up of two distinct parts : the Raymondine nave and the choir.

The nave, in the southern Gothic style, is built on the remains of the previous Roman cathedral. The choir is in the northern Gothic style.
