    • Toulouse's Saint-Étienne Cathedral is an iconic historical monument of the Pink City, a testament to centuries of history and diverse architectural styles.

      • A construction spread over time

The construction of the cathedral took place over several centuries, from the 13th to the 17th century, which explains the diversity of architectural styles that can be observed there: Romanesque, Southern Gothic and Gothic.
This particularity makes it a unique building, where different eras coexist and overlap.

      • Architectural features

Saint-Étienne Cathedral is known for its atypical architecture, notably with a single nave in southern Gothic style, characteristic of the region.

Inside the cathedral there are richly decorated chapels with altarpieces, paintings and reliquaries, as well as an early 17th-century organ, one of the oldest in the city.

      • Historical and cultural significance

The cathedral gave its name to the Saint-Étienne district, located in the heart of the historic center of Toulouse.
It houses the tomb of Pierre-Paul Riquet, the designer of the Canal du Midi, another major historical monument in the region.

More interesting for being unusual than for its beauty. The main entrance part of the interior is not in line with the main axis of the nave
