  We took a little detour this morning to come and have breakfast at the Gelis house. The owners and employees take great care, talk to you about their products with passion and make you want to eat everything (if that's not already the case just by looking at the windows!). We really enjoyed this moment of indulgence. See you soon

  Today we tasted the famous pastry (yes, it was still time to form an opinion): The violettine which revealed to me that I was chauvinistic (I didn't know it...come on Carbonne), very very nice surprise , not too sweet, original and very cute. We hope that it will remain available for a long time. Sourdough bread here a cobbler with ???flourette? I forgot the name, very good, the bread is sourdough, impeccable at all levels and really no more expensive than in the supermarket or other industrial chains, the quality and craftsmanship to boot. In terms of pastries, we are quite mixed in the family where the star is missing, visually it is always at the top of impeccable perfection and finesse, on the other hand we do not always find ourselves in it. in terms of taste, it's quite often that the taste doesn't match the visual (it must be said that visually it's so high level)! Afterwards it is only purely personal tastes and subjective opinions (tastes and colors), but often there is still something to complain about (family, guests) For example, for the lemon delight (in photo) which has a lemony taste and a purely exquisite texture (meringue) not to mention the impeccable visual appearance, many of us find an imbalance, everyone finds it really too sweet (and we like it). sugar more than necessary), which probably won't stop me from eating it again. What everyone agrees on is that it is a high quality bakery (tea room - that's great) where everything is done with extreme care, meticulousness, attention to detail, the presentation! what we might call the love of a job (very) well done. The bosses are very kind and humble.

  Very nice display with lots of choice. Violet is excellent. Good balance between the flakiness and the dome of violet with a very powerful taste. The cookie competition pastry (brownie for what I found inside) is very dense and makes you thirsty! But very nice achievement.
