Haute-Garonne photo spots

The Haute-Garonne is a territory that offers great photographic opportunities. If you like old stones and beautiful monuments, you will be seduced by the Pays Toulousain. Are you passionate about history and fortified castles? The Lauragais is an old Cathar land and impressive fortifications were built there, then transformed into Renaissance palaces... If you want to recharge your batteries in the countryside, the wide open spaces of Volvestre are at your disposal for a nature photo report. Finally, if you want to bring back great panoramic views of the Pyrenees, it is rather in the Comminges that you will find what you are looking for.

The Instagram photo of the moment in Toulouse

Toulouse is called the “Pink City” for its soft colored stones. It is a city steeped in history, which has many monuments to photograph. A view of the city from its bridge, preferably at sunset, is one of the essentials of a souvenir photo album of Toulouse.

The good idea: Visit Toulouse on foot

Countryside photo in Lauragais

Montgeard is a typical village in the Lauragais countryside. If it has lasted through the centuries, it is thanks to the production of pastel, a plant whose fermented flowers give a beautiful light blue color. It is a place with old-fashioned charm and an authentic atmosphere. This is a good opportunity to take pictures of the sweet countryside of southern France, in sepia of course!

Perspective on the Canal du Midi

The banks of the Canal du Midi have been converted into a greenway, accessible both on foot and by bike. It is a site for family walks, very popular with Toulouse residents. For perspective photography, avoid weekends, when there are a lot of walkers. On the other hand, if you are up early, you will take sublime photos, playing with the soft light of daybreak and the mists rising over the canal.
