- In the heart of Bigorre, Maubourguet is at the confluence of the Echez river and the Adour river. Mills, canals, punctuate the landscape. Its Baltard-type hall, its Roman church, its archaeological museum, invite you to go back in time over 200,000 years of history. It is also a stopover town on the way to Santiago de Compostela (GR 653 - the way to Arles) which also crosses the villages of Aurébiat (with its 53 m bell tower) and Vidouze. You can also get to Lourdes from Maubourguet by the GR10.
