A magnificent Renaissance masterpiece, it rises to new heights with its 26.5-meter stepped tower, the tallest in the town, and 7 corner windows. Built in the early 16th century by architect and sculptor Louis Privat, it was financed by a wealthy pastel merchant seeking to consolidate his social power. Since 1567, its function has changed, as it now houses schools, which today are the Collège and Lycée Pierre de Fermat.
